Good Morning … today we have a Stampin’ Up! Virtual event for Demonstrators but I thought I’d pop in early and share a card made recently using Lasting Joy Stamp Set.
Lasting Joy
The Lasting Joy Stamp Set is one of those sets in the catalogue you totally miss if it’s not pointed out to you. So today this is my Public Service Announcement to check out Lasting Joy!
I only found this set as I saw the sample in the catalogue and wondered what was used. Now I’ve designed my November class using it! The stamp set has some great sentiments as well as some sweet flower images.
Lasting Joy Birthday Card
Here’s the first card I made …
It is a case from one of the samples in the catalogue and I’ve swapped out the ‘blues’ for some earthy tones.
Card How to ..
I have a Crumb Cake card base with an embossed layer using the Country Blossoms Embossing Folder. My flowers are stamped onto Basic White in Pecan Pie, Petal Pink and leaves in Granny Apple Green. This as then layered onto a Petal Pink mat. Both the white and petal pink were cut using the Country Corners Dies. I popped these onto the card front with a piece of Natural Wavy Trim behind. My card was then embellished with the Flat Adhesive Backed Pearls.
I also stamped an insert for the card …
I also used the blending brushes to shade the edges of the cardstock. Gives a softer look to the edges and helps it blend in more.
This card is going to my sister for her birthday which happens to be today! She loves greens, browns and oranges so thought she’d like this. I hope she does!
