Ways with Vellum

I love Vellum and I love how you can use it in so many ways to give your cards and projects that wow factor or just to add a little dimension or to soften a bright paper or image.

Snowflake Splendor with Vellum by Leonie Schroder Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Australia

I love snowflakes and this card turned out so pretty! I’ve heat embossed some snowflakes in Silver. Now when you are heat embossing onto vellum be sure to hold your heat tool just a little farther away as you dont want to melt your project!

I’ve placed a piece of the Snowflake Splendor behind the vellum. This mutes the patterned paper and gives it a nice soft tone. This is a great technique to use when you have some brighter designer papers.

I’ve finished off my card with a little snowflake. I used the So Many Snowflakes Dies to cut two out – one in Highland Heather cardstock and another in vellum. I’ve layered the vellum on top to soften the Highland Heather snowflake and offset it just a little.
