Good Afternoon and welcome to another Freshly Brewed Projects Blog Hop! This week our theme is Coffee … or Tea. I’ve used the awesome Press On Stamp Set.
Press On
I thought I’d better add Tea into the theme cos apparently not everyone drinks coffee … who knew?
Have you seen the Press On set? How cool is this …
As you can imagine, when I first saw this set in the Catalogue, my first (and only) response was ….
I’m sure I even had the little shooting stars!
Anyhoo …. here’s the card I made using this awesome stamp set …
I had a bit of fun making this card! It has a lot of my favourite elements … spongeing, linen thread, embossed strip, oh and coffee!
The cups were stamped 4 times using the cup from Press On. Twice on Crumb Cake and then twice on the patterned paper from the Ornate Garden Designer Series Paper Pack. The cups were easily fussy cut with my Paper Snips. I just cut the centre band from the cup on the Designer Series paper and used it to create my wrap. This technique is called Paper Piecing.
Once the pieces of the cups were adhered with Multipurpose glue, I then did some sponging to give the cups more dimension. When you leave a ‘white’ or unsponged area you’ll give them a round look.
To replicate the coffee wrap I embossed a piece of Mint Macaron with with Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder.
The crumb cake layer has the coffee beans stamped randomly around the edge and I’ve then sponged around the edges for a bit of ‘grunge’.
I do hope you like what I’ve created for you today … and that your day is full of perks!
Let’s go hopping …
Now lets see what my crafty friends have created for you today ….
How cool were all those projects?
I do hope you’ve enjoyed today’s Blog Hop. If you would like more information on any of the projects please be sure to comment or message on the posts.
