Oh Baby Card using Kangaroo & Company by Leonie Schroder Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Australia

Good Afternoon and welcome to another Freshly Brewed Projects Blog Hop. This week our theme is Baby Cards and I’ve got my Oh Baby Card I made recently for my niece’s new baby.

Oh Baby

This card was just a little fun to make … ok maybe a lot of fun to make! I love the Kangaroo & Company Stamp Set and making this card reminded me of Kanga and Roo from the Winnie the Pooh books.

The stamp set I used was Punch Party. Punch Party was available during Sale-a-bration as the free bonus if you hosted a party of $500 or more. I just love that ‘Oh Baby’ sentiment

Punch Party message me to find out how you can get it free!

Now if you would like this set I do happen to have one spare. Message me and find out how you can get it for free! It’s a great set with some sweet sentiments and some awesome images that coordinate perfectly with some of our punches.

Card Creation Process

This card started with choosing the Designer Series Paper I wanted to use on the top card layer. This piece comes from the Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper pack. From there I chose my colour for the card base and heart.

Once my colours and paper were chosen I stamped the sentiment onto Flirty Flamingo cardstock in versamark then heat embossed in white. This was punched and a pretty scalloped heart behind it with our heart punch pack.

Next it was time to colour those sweet little Kangaroos! They are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and coloured with our Stampin’ Blends. They are both cut out with the Kangaroo dies.

Now I know the little Kangaroo up the top is meant to sit in the mumma’s pouch but it works just as well nestled behind another shape or image.

I finished off my card with a double bow using the Snail Mail Baker’s Twine Duo and a couple of rhinestone jewels. I hope my niece likes the card and gift we got her for sweet Joni.

Let’s go hopping …

Now let’s see what Baby inspiration my crafty friends have created for you today …

I do hope you enjoyed all those projects as much as I did! How sweet were they all? I hope they’ve given you some inspiration for making a sweet baby card for a friend or family member.

Thanks for stopping by and see you latte ..
