Good Afternoon … it’s that time of year again … Kelly’s Birthday! What better way to celebrate than to participate in Kelly’s Birthday Blog Hop!

Kelly’s Birthday Blog Hop
Kelly is a sweet friend that I’ve met through Stampin’ Up! She’s a Demonstrator in Western Australia and always love catching up with her at Stampin’ Up! Events.
Funnily enough the theme for today’s Blog Hop is “Birthdays”!

My card today uses the lovely Climbing Roses Stamp Set and the Rectangle Stitched Framelits.
I loved making this card. THe roses are Copper Embossed on Shimmery White then watercolored with our Classic Inks and an Aqua Painter.
I love the Dimension you can get with frames using the Rectangle Stitched Framelits. I slipped a section of the Rose image behind the frame on the top left and popped the whole image at the bottom right. It gives the card more dimension with an inside/outside type frame.

My card is finished off by adding the sentiment and a sweet little Silver Bakers Twine bow and some Basic Adhesive-backed sequins.
Let’s go hopping …

Now isn’t that just the prettiest! x
This is gorgeous Leonie! I love the effect of your floating frame over the DSP layer and how much a feature that is. And the copper embossed florals are such a lovely way to add bling too!
thanks you so much Jan .. such a simple technique and adds so much depth.
This is beautiful Leonie, that copper embossing is so pretty and the frame made with those stitched rectangular dies is the perfect addition. Love it and thank you for sharing.
Love the beautiful card you’ve created, Leonie. You’re right, putting the top roses under the frame really gives it a 3-D effect. So clever! Hope I may use this idea x
thank you Denise … of course you can use the idea … no point keeping these things to ourselves 😉
Beautiful card Leonie. I love the frame you’ve created and how you added the flowers.
thanks Michelle for your kind words 🙂
Oh……. the copper embossing works so perfectly for this card!! I will have to find mine and try it!
thanks Richelle … I love the Copper powder as it works so well with so many colours 🙂 Thanks for stopping by and leaving your kind words 🙂
Gorgeous card Leonie – such a lovely way to use the flowers. How did we ever craft before those Stitched Rectangle Framelits??? Thanks for being part of my birthday celebrations! Kelly x
Kelly I hope you have had a wonderful Birthday and thanks for letting me hop with you! Your kind words touch my heart
I love the way you’ve put one in front and one behind the rectangles – that really gives it even more dimension. Very clever. A beautiful card, Leonie.
thanks for your kind words Siobhan. I love those rectangles!
Such a pretty card Leonie! Love the copper embossed flowers and then the layering of the DSP with the stitched rectangle frame. Gorgeous! Thanks for sharing! Rochelle xo
thanks so much for your kind words Rochelle and for stopping by 🙂
I love all the layering with the rectangles, but really you had me at copper embossing – love love love!
naw thanks so much Shannon .. that Copper Embossing really lifts a card and it’s got such a different effect than regular gold or silver 😉
