Fine Art Floral Suite

The FIne Art Floral Suite is such a lovely Suite and has many components. All are gorgeous and work well together. They are also stunning used on their own.

Today’s card features a few of the products from the Fine Art Floral Suite …

  • Fine Art Floral 12×12 Designer Series Paper
  • Golden Garden 12×12 Designer Specialty Acetate
  • Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder
  • Gilded Leafing

Here’s my card ….

I loved making this card! While it looks a little involved its not really. I will warn you though – be careful when using the Gilded Leafing! It is lighter than feathers and will literally go everywhere given the chance … or a slight breeze … or even a sigh. So be sure to have a much bigger container to put it in when opening it for the first time. I used a Plastic Fridge container which measured 20cm x 30cm x 12cm. Trust me you’ll need something this size! Plus it makes it easier to contain when working with it. It’s also a good idea to have a soft paint brush or sponge set aside to use it with.

How’d she do that?

So let’s look at the card again …

Firsly, cut your tiles from DSP. When you cut your floral pieces remember to have the Golden Garden Acetate overlay on top so it will match when assembling. To adhere the Golden Garden Acetate simply use a couple of dots of Multipurpose glue behind the Gold design. Remember to remove the backing before sticking down. All our Acetate sheets have a protective film on them.

Take a piece of Basic White and cut a piece of Adhesive Sheet the same size. Adhere one side to the Basic White piece. Remove backing and place your six tiles on top. Be sure to leave the same border around all the tiles. Once your tiles are in place pop your piece into the gilded leaf container. Press firmly for the leafing to stick firmly. Use a soft brush or sponge to rub off the excess. There will be lots of excess but be mindful not to rub too hard or you may remove more Gilded Leaf than intended. If this happens, simply press more on and lightly rub off excess.

Affix this tiled panel to a piece of Blushing Bride slightly larger than the panel to give a small border all around. Die cut words from Gold Foil sheet and adhere to top of tiles on an angle. Fold over the ribbon and tie a bow with the gold cord. Affix this to the bottom left of your tiled panel with Glue Dots.

Cut a Basic White tall card base (105mm x 297mm, scored at 148mm). Cut a Basic White layer and run through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with the Paint Texture 3D Embossing Folder. My gosh it looks like paint! Affix this embossed layer direct to your card base. Affix the tiled panel to your card with dimensionals.

Decorate your card with the Gilded Gems to complete. Send card to someone special!
