Good Afternoon and welcome to this week’s serve of Freshly Brewed Projects Blog Hop. This week our theme is critters and I’ve used the cute Count on Me Stamp Set.
Count on Me
Have you seen the sweet Count on Me stamp set in the new Annual Catalogue? It’s one of those hidden gems. It’s a lovely set of 12 stamps including 6 different critters and 6 lovely support/encouragement sentiments.
As it was my little sister’s birthday yesterday and she has a thing for critters I decided to use this set for her birthday card. She collects Charlie Bears and we are often known to go on rescue missions to save a bear or three this set was perfect.
Here’s the card I made ….
I loved colouring this guy! I’ve stamped him in Memento Tuxedo Black and coloured with my Stampin’ Blends.
Stampin’ Blends used …
- Bear – Bronze, Light Cinnamon Cider, Dark Cinnamon Cider
- Heart – Light Poppy Parade, Dark Poppy Parade, Dark Cherry Cobbler
- Balloons – Light Night of Navy, Light Balmy Blue, Light Bermuda Bay, Light Pool Party, Colour Lifter
- Grounding – Light Gray Granite, Colour Lifter
I’ve also used the blending brushes with some Coastal Cabana Ink for some sky shading.
The sentiment comes from the Best Year Stamp Set. I’ve stamped in Night of Navy and used the Tailor Made Tags dies to cut it out. I cut one in the Shimmery White and one (same size) in the Night of Navy and just offset them.
Do you like my Night of Navy ribbon? I wanted a blue ribbon on my card to tie a bow but didn’t have any on hand. So I grabbed the white crinkled seam binding and coloured it myself with the Light Night of Navy Stampin Blends.
I also opted to pop in an insert and include the sweet little fox inside …
My fox is coloured using the Pumpkin Pie and Pale Papaya Stampin Blends.
Let’s go hopping …
