Wonderful World Pocket Card

Now … onto my card for today. This is a super easy way to make a pocket card and it’s great for adding a tag with a note inside or to give a gift card for a special occasion.

I took a piece of A4 cardstock and cut it in half lengthwise. Yes, so you could really make 2 of these from one sheet of cardstock. This card base was then folded in half and burnished with my bone folder.

With the fold at the bottom I measured 2cm (3/4″) in from the top left and 4cm (1 1/2″) from the bottom right and made markings with a pencil. I used these markings to line up in my Paper Trimmer and cut the corner off. I chose a couple of different designs from the pack of Designer Series Paper and affixed one on the inside and cut one to fit the diagonal front. Using Tear n Tape I affixed the sides down to create my pocket.

I cut two more panels for the front of my card and added a sentiment on a banner piece. My panels measure 5cm x 12.5cm (Orchid Oasis) and 7cm x 11cm (Very Vanilla). I stamped the small leaf onto the Orchid Oasis piece and the flowers onto the Vanilla piece.

All images were stamped in Orchid Oasis ink and both panels were also blended around the edges with the blending brushes. They were then adhered together and affixed to my card with dimensionals My card was finished off with some Orchid Oasis Ribbon and some Festive Pearls (man I love those pearls!)
