Heartfelt Thanks from me …

I must say it’s been hard to get back into stamping since the sudden passing of my Dad last month. I just couldnt get my head into the zone and had no desire to do so for many weeks.

While Dad had been unwell on and off for months it was a shock to us that things turned so bad so quickly. It was only 6 weeks ago we settled him into the nursing home.

He was happy and settled with many of his ‘thing’s. When we left him he was well and even had a sparkle in his eyes – something I hadn’t seen in a very long time. He was well cared for, well fed and happy with his music and his books.

It was hard to believe that less than ten days later we were rushing back to say our goodbyes. I am grateful to the care given to Dad, and us, by the staff at Camperdown Hospital in Victoria.

The palliative care room they have and the care and support they give was such a blessing to us. I am grateful to God that Dad didn’t suffer in pain and didn’t linger on too long.

I am also very grateful for all the messages, texts and cards we received and those waiting for me when I got home.

I’ve had to take my time in opening and reading them all as I’m still finding myself getting emotional reading your sweet words.

As you can see Dad passed on his love of Coffee and Sweet Treats to me – amongst other things. I will remember him every time I go out for coffee. So if you see me at a cafe enjoying a coffee and a sweet treat and just maybe with a tear in my eye you will know why.

Thanks just doesn’t seem to cover it – I am grateful to you, my friends, from the very bottom of my heart
