Hi and welcome to another What Will You Stamp Challenge!
This week we are stamping with Picture Perfect …
I do love this set and all the images and sentiments in it. I have found too that many either love or hate this set so I hope with a couple of tips you will love it as much as I do.
First, my card …
I do love Starfishes and I love that I can buy them for my hubby as he has a marine/salt water tank. We actually have a couple in there at the moment as they do come out of the rocks and coral occasionally. We bought these when they were small/babies – they were just the size of a 10c piece when we got them – which is about 3/4″ for my American Friends.
I love the patterned piece from the Serene Scenes DSP Stack and thought it looks like the side of an old wooden dingy so thought it was perfect for my StarFish card.
I’ve got this close up pic so you can see how I used the Timeless Textures stamp set. I have the grid stamp to represent wire/mesh and then the little splatter stamp to represent rust spots on the boat. I have continued it onto the base card for depth.
Now I mentioned a couple of tips when using this stamp set …
- Regardless of which image you use always start with the one you want the darkest or is the outline. This will aid in placing the other stamps to complete your image. It’s much easier to see the darker outline than to see the very soft/feint background. Just because the stamps are numbered 1, 2, 3 doesnt mean thats the order you need to stamp then in – work out what works for you and go with that!
- When attaching your stamps to the blocks lay the stamp on your table or a flat surface with the cling side up (image side down) then push your block onto your stamp. This will prevent them from going on crooked or out of shape and will also assist you in stamping your layers.
I hope those tips help you enjoy your 2 and 3 (and sometimes 4) step PhotoPolymer stamps and please dont hesitate to contact me if you have questions or need a little help – I’m happy to do so!
Thanks for stopping by today and be sure to head over to the What Will You Stamp Blog and see what the rest of the Design Team has created with this set!
