Welcome to another week of What Will You Stamp Challenges and this week we are creating with the lovely Dragonfly Dreams …
I love this set! You can also get the coordinating Framelit set which makes cutting them out so much easier.
I’ve made a few projects already with this set so had to think about today’s project. I’m running a Marker Club starting this month so thought I’d do a Marker Technique on this card.
I used my markers to colour direct onto one of Acrylic Blocks, spritzed it with water and then stamped that onto Shimmery White cardstock for this wonderful background result. It gives to a lovely ‘tie-dyed’ effect.
Once that panel is dry you can then easily stamp your sentiment and stamp and cut out the dragonfly to make this card. If you are an impatient stamper like me you can speed up the drying with the heat tool but it really doesnt take too long to dry as you are only putting a fine mist of water on the block.
The Dragonfly was stamped in Jet Black stazon then coloured with the aqua painter in Tempting Turquoise and Melon Mambo – two of the colours I used for my block stamping. I then added some coordinating Enamel Shapes and Rhinestone Jewels to finish off my card. I hope you like what I’ve made for you today!
