Good Afternoon! Today I’m hosting my Oh So Vintage Card Class and thought I’d share my Very Versailles Butterfly card with you.

Very Versailles Butterfly
While we aren’t making this card today we are using Very Versailles for one of the cards. This card is quick and easy to do and great for a new or beginner stamper to try with a vintage feel.
Here’s what you’ll need to make this card ..
- Very Versailles Stamp Set
- Butterfly Wishes Stamp Set
- Very Vanilla Cardstock
- Basic Gray Cardstock
- Basic Gray Classic Ink
- Paper Snips
- Adhesives (Multipurpose Glue and Dimensionals)
- Basic Gray Stampin Write Marker
- Stampin Sponge

While this card looks like I’ve used 3 different inks it’s just the same Ink Pad and stamped off once or twice to get the different colour depths.
The Sentiment and butterfly are done 1st Generation – stamped straight onto cardstock. The leaves are done 2nd Generation – stamped off once onto scrap paper then onto cardstock. The script stamp is done 3rd generation – stamped off twice onto scrap paper then onto cardstock.
Once I’d stamped all my pieces I used my stampin sponge to sponge around the edges of the top layer. This softens the edges and the look of the card.
I did also use my Basic Gray Stampin’ Write Marker to flick some spots onto my card for a little more interest and ‘vintageness’. If you dont have a marker you can skip this step.
Want to know how to get that sentiment banner all wavy?
Let me share my trick! Curl each end with either your fingers or a bone folder. At the two ends I add either a dot of Glue or Snail and in the middle I use two dimensionals on top of each other. Once you stick it down it has this wavy effect – like a banner blowing in the breeze!
