Welcome to another week of Freshly Brewed Projects from the Latte Girls. This week we are creating ‘number’ or milestone cards.
This week we are celebrating a special number in our household … it’s the Number 21!
Yep it’s Caitie’s 21st Birthday on Friday. Now I do keep reminding her that she did put me in hospital for a week or so before being born!
She’s a little bit of an old soul liking things like Tea (not sure how that happened), reading paper books (not the e-book variety) and knitting (yes you read that right). So after thinking about what card to make for her I opted for a little chic with a touch of bling.
I’ve used Petal Palette Stamp Set and Framelits. Stamping the leaves softly on the background in Pool Party and Sahara Sand. The Roses are coloured with the Stampin’ Blends and then touched with the clear Wink of Stella. The bird is stamped in Soft Suede then coloured lightly with a sponge dauber. I cut the 21 out of dazzling details Glimmer Paper and added some of the sweet new Share What You Love Artisan Pearls to bling it up.
Now a few weeks back she was helping pick a sentiment for a card and came across the So Many Shells stamp set and thought what an awesome sentiment the ‘you are my extra in my ordinary’ was so I popped that inside …
Now you might be wondering about the threads on the card?
I simply cut a piece of the Shimmer Ribbon and removed some threads. These were then adhered behind the rose image. It’s soft, pretty and just a little bit different.
I do hope she likes her card and I hope you like it too with all the different elements.
Thanks so much for stopping by …
Beautiful card Leonie, I hope Caitie has a lovely day.
