I do hope you had a wonderful christmas and didnt get any of those “what were they thinking” presents! You know the ones you open and then just look at and think “what were they thinking when they bought this for me!” Thankfully this year we didnt get any of those but we did get a few “cant wait to use this” presents!
One of those was the Wii I bought for hubby – the whole family loves it!! Hubby also got some gift cards from his lovely boss for christmas so we used the Myer one to get the Wii fit. Now the one we got must be faulty as it keeps putting my weight wrong!! So after this post I’m going to go and do some Wii Fitting … not sure if it will fit when I step on it or not so we’ll see!
I did want to share with you the present I got from the girls – well one of them. I got the Three for You punch box from Stampin’ Up!®. I have been eyeing this off since it went into our Idea Book & Catalogue in April but at $85.95 it was a little out of my budget.
Then Stampin’ Up!® gave us the Tying up Christmas promotion for december and if I spent $20 I could get it at 20%off so that took it down to $68.76 and with my demonstrator discount it was even more affordable!
The full price does sound expensive but when you look at this great set you get ….
- 9 stamps
- 3 stampin spots (black, wild wasabi, purely pomegranate)
- large punch with three flowers
Now this is the only way you will get stampin spots in the In Colours of Purely Pomegranate and Wild Wasabi. Also, the punch coordinates beautifully with the stamps – not just the flowers but one of the sayings too! This all comes in a huge tin which is going to be great for altering and making into a storage or gift box. Tins these sizes in the shops sell for over $20 alone! So even at the full retail price you are getting a fairly good deal as you always do with Stampin’ Up!®
I did have some fun playing with this set today and here are some cards that are very easy and quick to do.
They are all done using just the Three for You Punch set, cardstock, ribbon and some brads. They are all 4×4 cards which I just love to do as they are so quick and easy. I will be running a class for these in January where you will make 8 cards and a box or tote to put them in so please email me if you’d like more details or to book your spot.
Did you get some money for christmas? or an offer from someone to get you something that you’d really like? Well this Punch set is still on special until 31st December so that gives you a couple of days to contact me and get your order and your money to me before end of business on Wednesday I will get this to you postage/handling free! So get on the phone, mobile or email now and order your set.
Now as with most products Stampin’ Up!® have a great knack of making things that coordinate with each other. This is true again with the Three for You punch box and the Eastern Blooms stamp set from the Summer Mini Catalogue.
I had a great time last night making these cards and I do think they came out quite nice and again they are very easy to do. The patterned paper is from the Bali Breeze Designer Series Paper pack which is also in the Summer Mini Catalogue.
If you dont have youre copy of the Summer Mini then contact me and I’ll pop one in the post to you or pop it in with your next order.
I hope you liked these cards as much as I enjoyed making them!
Now I’d better go and do some time on the Wii Fit before hubby gets home to check up on me!!
As usual, love your work! Perhaps you’ll be able to inspire me to get working on MY Wii Fit! Now THERE’S a challenge!
OI! Where’s my new website??? hey? hey?
Love the new look, very similar to what I was wanting – hmmmm LOL
Just teasin. And you’ve made me NEED the punch box now, grrr – I was really hoping I didn’t HAVE to get that too – have spent far too much on all the yummy new stuff!
Have a great new year darlin – see you soon!
Hi Leonie! I hope you had a lovely Christmas! Everytime I stop by your blog … you are doing something new! I love the new colours!!! Very regal!!! 😀 I am trying to track down the “Leonie & family” who sent me a gorgeous Chrissy card. I’m sure it was you … but there are 2 other SU! contacts who I know … who are also “Leonie”!!! Anyway, thanks so much for your kind thoughts for me & my family this Christmas! (I hope I am thanking the right person!!! :D) And … man! … You are so clever! I just didn’t think of using the Three for You punch with the Eastern Blooms paper! How absolutely gorgeous!!! (I haven’t actually bought the punch set … I have been trying to actually “make” some money lately … not spend it all!!! :D) but … as usual … your ideas are inspirational!!! Happy New Year! Stampin’ Hugs, Andrea
I too got some Stampin’ Up goodies for Christmas (I ordered them and my dad kindly paid) which included the Eastern Blooms stamp set and the designer papers so I might just have to give them ago soon, however I have been cleaning the house today so this will have to wait for another day.
