Good Evening to You!!
It’s time for another Thursday Time-Out – my weekly inspiration project newsletter. If you’d like to get this newsletter be sure to click here to sign up. The Newsletter goes out earlier than the post on my blog and will include a simple project to inspire you to create.
Today’s project shows you another use for the gorgeous Patterned Occasions stamp set …
Recipe
Stamps: Patterned Occasions (Sale-a-bration)
Inks: Basic Grey
Paper: Whisper White, Basic Grey, Basic Black, Real Red
Accessories: Big Shot, Vine Street TIEF (Sale-a-bration), 2 1/2″ Circle Punch, Itty Bitty Punches, Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon, Glue Dots, Stampin Dimensionals, Basis Pearl Jewels, Mini Brads, Black Permanent Marker
This has been the make and take at a few of my recent workshops and the ladies have just loved it!
Now when I was creating this little guy I had trouble working out what to do with the eye on the Elephant. When I used a pearl it seemed to just disappear in the pattern, then the mini brad showed ok but not like I wanted. So I took to colouring the Silver Mini Brad with a black permanent marker, popped it on the Elephant and an immediate smile appeared on my face – Yes!!
The pearls around the bottom of the circle just lift the card to the next level …
This image also shows how the ‘black’ Mini Brad pops and the red flower too adds some elegance to the card and balances with the ribbon.
Of course one just cant do a card without a little pouch to pop a little surprise in ….
Now I did use white ribbon on the pouch as I ran out of the red but it all still ties in well together and gives you another option if you dont like the red. The little pouch is the perfect size for ….
- a gift card
- gift certificate
- Jewellry
- Cash
- Key to the new car
Hope you like this week’s Thursday Time-Out
