Stamping Techniques to Try – Brusho

Good Morning … well we’ve had a couple of changes with what was previously Stamping Techniques 101 Blog Hop.  It’s now the  Stamping Techniques to Try Blog Hop.  We’ve still got all the lovely Design Team with us so it’s just a new name and new banner …

Staming Techniques to Try with Leonie Schroder Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Australia

I’m a little excited about this month’s Blog Hop as we are sharing with you fun and easy ways to create with Brusho.

I just love Brusho and I love that each time you use it on a project it looks different!  So every card you make, even if you follow the same steps, will look different.

Here’s my card for today …

Brusho Tree created by Leonie Schroder Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Australia

I love how this turned out – dont you love the way the colours just run and mingle together?  Better still, its so quick and easy to do I just know you’ll love it too!

3 Easy Steps …

  1. Sprinkle powder onto Watercolor Paper – use 2 or 3 colours (you only need a small amount of powder) and spritz finely with water and watch to colours ‘burst’ (hold spritzer further back for a finer misting)
  2. let dry and stamp Tree over the top in Basic Black or Memento Ink (you can speed up the drying by using your heat tool)
  3. Assemble card

Told you it was easy … here’s a quick video to show you …

I do hope you take the time to play with the Brusho powders.  There is so much you can do with them and they aren’t just for backgrounds either.  I’ve got more to show you but think this Technique is a great one to try to start with.

Here’s the card in the Blues and Yellows …

Remember, when you get your Brusho not to take the lids off. That powder is super fine and will go everywhere given the chance!  Simply grab a push pin, pierce the top and use the push pins as the stop/seals on the bottles.

I hope you liked today’s card and give Brusho a little play. It’s lots of fun and just know you’ll be hooked too … just like me!
