Good Morning! I have another technique for you today and it was a new one to me and it’s the Black Emboss Resist Technique.
Black Emboss Resist Technique
I hadnt seen or heard of this technique until it was tasked to me and after a couple of goes I mastered it and made it my own.
Here’s my card …
Dont those tulips look striking against that black background?
Now I will admit that this was a technique that when I first saw how it was done I wasnt sure I’d like it and to be honest looked a little too fussy for me. I persevered and after refining it I ended up loving it!
THe original tutorial I saw used a Black Marker to colour the background but every time I tried that it looked horrid. Then I tried the Memento Jet Black Ink Pad direct to the card and yes that gave a lovely smooth finish to my card and those tulips just popped! I was happy again and now this technique and I are good friends!
Please dont be turned off but give this technique a try. I even had this as one of the techniques for my technique class and the ladies loved it. Like me they were dubious at first but were pretty impressed with their finished cards.
