Well we are officially on school holidays here for the Summer break for around six weeks or so.

The girls took these gifts for their teachers … they both managed to have two teachers this year so that meant 4 gifts.  I consulted a lovely teacher and asked what would make a good teacher’s gift. I wanted to make something useful and not just send something in to be put in a cupboard somewhere.

All the items for each teacher were done using the same patterned paper from the new Kaleidoscope Designer Series Paper from the Summer Mini Catalogue.  I just love the colours and designs in these papers!

Two of the teachers had a handmade acetate gift box with toffees inside and the other two had a Votive candle in a holder that was decorated with rubons and also presented in an acetate box.

I do believe all the Teacher’s loved their gifts and one is already talking to people for a class next year.

At least I know now what to make for the teacher gifts next year – hoping that Miss E doesnt get the same teacher next year or I’ll have to think of something else …. or my sister will!

Thanks Jo for the guidance

  1. Ooooh Leonie … pick me pick me … I wanna be a teacher next year!!! Can you let me know where you got these clip boards from??? I have been searching for them everywhere … but can only find the plastic ones … or the ones covered in soft plastic. These gifts are just stunning … hard to go wrong with the gorgeous Kaleidoscope papers … but … still so clever to come up with the ideas and designs. Thanks for sharing. Happy Christmas xxx

  2. Heya Leonie. Man u must have been on creative overload with these gifts. How wonderful and spectacular. This DSP is gunna be a hot summer fave I feel. I have not seen th covered clipboards done before…are they difficult? I did candles and stamped noodle boxes filled with home cooked goodies for the teachers this year. Stay sane with the hols…..day one and counting!! LOL!!

  3. They look great ……. you won’t be making anything but clipboards from now on for teachers presents ……. I’ve been doing them for four years and the teachers love them…… the best part is they still remember you for giving them to them….. chocolates only last one or two sessions a clipboard is a constant reminder and one of the teachers has now got me to make 3 of them for her to give to other teachers. Vicki 🙂
