Good Afternoon and welcome to another Freshly Brewed Projects Blog Hop! This week the theme is Traditional Christmas and I’ve used the Sweet Little Stockings Suite for my projects.
Sweet Little Stockings
Nothing says Traditional Christmas more than some sweet red and green Christmas Stockings! Here’s some I whipped up today using the Sweet Little Stockings Bundle …
I really had lots of fun colouring these stockings today. It was good to get my Stampin’ Blends out and colour! Mind you I’ve noticed some of my Traditional Christmas coloured blends need replacing after the good workout they’ve received the last few years! Good thing I get a discount on my products eh?
Check out the Sweet Little Stockings bundle …
Just by looking at that bundle you can see it’s going to be oodles of fun! Needless to say you’ll be seeing lots more projects made with this gorgeous suite. There’s a paper pack and lots more to share with you!
As I was hanging stockings over a ‘fire place’ I used the Brick embossing folder for the background. I also used a blending brush to darken the bricks with some Crumb Cake ink. This defines the bricks a little more and gives a little more depth and interest to the card.
I also used the tip of a marker to flick some ink on for a little more authentic look.
My stockings are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and coloured with my Stampin Blends markers. I used Poppy Parade, Real Red, Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive and Granny Apple Green. I also added some Daffodil Delight as a trim on one of the stockings.
The stockings were easily cut out with the Stockings Dies. The sweet little bows and leaves also came from the Stockings Die pack. Cutting these pieces with the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine makes this card fun and easy to do.
If you’d like to make more cards like this be sure to ask me about my Christmas Card Club!

Beautiful coloring, Leonie! Do you use the color lifter to get the lighter areas that create the look of dimension? Beautiful!!
