Welcome to another Stamping Techniques to Try Blog Hop. This month the Design Team are bringing you different ideas and ways to use the Decorative Masks.
Decorative Masks
I love our Decorative Masks as they can be used in so many projects and in many different ways!
You can use them for …
- scrapbook layout backgrounds
- scrapbook overlays
- with embossing paste
- with spritzers
- sponge brayers
Here’s what I’ve created for you today ….
I loved making this card and love all the elements on it. While it looks hard and involved it’s really quite easy. I’ve used the Sweet Soiree Decorative Masks to create my background on my card.
Embossed Masked Background
Creating an Embossed Masked Background is quite easy to do …
- Use your embossing buddy to swipe your cardstock
- Line decorative mask over your cardstock – use washi tape or post it notes to secure your mask and prevent it from moving
- Use your versamark pad and press it all over the mask ensuring your cover the piece of cardstock. Smoosh it right in so you get all the pattern.
- Remove mask and cover with embossing powder. Shake off excess back into pot and melt with Heat Tool.
Once your background is done it’s a matter of putting the rest of your card together. I’ve used the Cake Soiree Stamp Set and the Sweet Cake Framelit Dies to complete my card.
I do hope you’ll give this technique a go. You can add so much to your cards and projects by using these masks and being that you get 2 in a pack for $10 they are an affordable addition to your cards projects.
I hope you enjoyed seeing what all the girls have created for you for this month’s Stamping Techniques to Try Blog Hop and you find yourself a little time to try the masks out.
