Spritzed Party Pandas

It’s Monday! I have a sweet card for you today using the Party Pandas Saleabration Stamp Set.

Well … What a stressful weekend it was!  My Father and Sister live in Cobden Victoria and this past weekend they’ve had some serious fires around them so it was a stressful time of waiting and keeping a watch on the news.

Here’s today’s card using the Party Pandas Sale-a-bration Stamp Set …

I’ve created my background on this card using the Spritzed Marker Block Technique – it sure turns out lovely doesnt it?  The ladies at my ‘Pandemonium’ class sure loved making all the sweet Panda Cards on Saturday.

The Markers I used on the background were Peekaboo Peach, So Saffron and Flirty Flamingo.  I also showed them how to do the grey shading around their Panda’s using the Light Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends marker and the Color Lifter.  When you think about Panda’s they are black and white however they do have a grey tinge to the ends of their white fur. Using the Smoky Slate marker around the edges also softens the image as well as give the image dimension.

The colourful layer behind my spritzed background piece is a piece of the Picture Perfect Party Paper Stack.  It was great for using with this card as it includes the colours I’ve used in the spritzed background.

Thankfully, the fires have all been downgraded but there’s still a few around with more popping up all the time.  Please pray for their safety and for the fires to be put out and for some rain there so the ash and smoke is ‘washed’ out of the air so the community can work to get back on their feet.
