Good Evening! Well it was a glorious sunny day here today … I did say was … it’s now turned into a blustery gale outside. While it’s wild and woolly outside I thought I’d share my card from this week’s Stampin’ Time Out Facebook Live using the wonderful Snow Front Stamp Set

I do love a good ‘Build-a-Scene’ stamp set and the new Snow Front Stamp Set is a great one to build many different scenes with!

With the Snow Front Stamp Set you can create many different scenes, whether it’s a cozy cabin, or cabins, with dainty deer or playful birds in a winter forest. This Two-Step Stamp set allows you to layer two or more images to create a wonderful scene with extra texture and dimension in the colours you want.

I started with my background. Sponging Balmy Blue, Pacific Point and Night of Navy onto my Shimmery White Card. I started at about half way and worked my way up and darker. The trees are stamped on the right and my cabin on the left in Pretty Peacock – that is sure becoming a favourite colour here! I then took a couple of the single trees in the set and stamped them in Pretty Peacock in 2nd and 3rd generation. This gives the illusion of depth and creates a wonderful forest scene.

I finished off my card with the lovely Silver Metallic Edged ribbon and just a little Puff Paint. Well ok, maybe just a little more than a little! Its so fun and easy to work with and love the texture and look it gives.

My sentiment comes from the So Many Stars Stamp Set and I’ve embellished with the gorgeous Peacock Rhinestones.

  1. Life really does get in the way of being creative. My new thing is making shadow box art. For 2 of my closet friends, I sent them a shadow box with a decorative insert for their birthdays. Throughout the year, I’ve been sending them holiday ones. Just thought it was something different and fun.

    Have you played with the mountain air set yet? Had to ge the meerkat as it reminds of going to the zoo with the kids and my in-laws. It was my “mom’s” favorite animal at the zoo.
