Good Afternoon and thanks for joining me for today’s Freshly Brewed Projects Blog Hop with the Latte Girls. Today we are sharing projects using the Simple Stamping theme.
A couple of years ago Stampin’ Up! started the #simplestamping initiative with their Demonstrators. They wanted us to share more projects and ideas for beginners and those new to stamping. So today we are sharing Simple Stamping projects.
It’s good to stop and remember the excitement of when we started stamping and that first ‘wow I made that’ feeling!
Here’s my simple stamping card using the Timeless Tulips
I do love Tulips! I think it has something to do with my Dutch heritage. Probably why I love cheese and double salted liquorice so much too! It’s Dad’s fault!
Simple Stamping with Timeless Tulips
This card was quick and easy to make and love how this stamp set is Photopolymer so you can see exactly where you are stamping! Makes lining up the leaves and stems super easy.
My quick tips for beginners for this card are …
- pick three colours for the flowers (I used Gorgeous Grape, Purple Posy and Mango Melody)
- stamp your flowers first
- stamp your stems second (I used Granny Apple Green)
- if you want your stems to go to both left and right simply stamp one stem upside down!
- fill the white area with your leaves. Again for a varied look stamp those leaves upside down.
Once my new stampers are confident stamping a card like the one above I’ll show them how they can step it up a little. This is where the addiction sets in!
Here’s one way to step it up for our casual stampers …
Now notice how it’s the same stamped layout? I’ve stepped it up to include the Granny Green Cardstock layer, punched out the large Tulip and lifted it with Dimensionas and added some sweet enamel dots and rhinestones. My card is finished off with a lovely White Baker’s Twine bow.
I’ve also done a card for those of us who have been crafting for a while, who love to have all the bits n bobs …
See, still the same stamped layout. This one I’ve done a little ‘eclipse’ technique with the square frame using the Stitched Shape Square and the Layering Squares dies.
Notice the sentiment? It is from the same Timeless Tulips set however I used a marker to colour a portion of the sentiment on the stamp. I love this simple sentiment – it truly covers everything!
I do hope you like my cards today and now it’s time to see what the Latte Girls have created for you today.
Let’s go hopping …
Such cool projects hey? I appreciate you taking the time to stop by today and you left the girls some lovely feedback.
Now I must get back to preparing for this weekends Honey Bee Fundraiser!
Thanks for stopping by …
