Good Afternoon and welcome to another Freshly Brewed Projects Blog Hop. Today’s theme is Heat Embossing and I’ve used the Quiet Meadow Bundle for my card.

With today’s theme being Heat Embossing I wanted to do some thing a little different to just heat embossing an image or sentiment on a card.
The technique I’ve used today is not rocket science but something maybe we don’t always think to do and inspired by Jennifer McGuire from USA.
Quiet Meadow Silhouette
The Quiet Meadow bundle is such a lovely bundle to create with! The Die Set includes Flowers, Leaves, Butterflies and Tags. While the dies dont cut out the images in the Stamp Set they just add to all the gorgeous projects you can make!
This bundle is extra special this month as it’s part of the Savings are in Bloom promotion and you can save 20% on this bundle (and 12 other bundles) during March!
Now if you buy it before 16th March you will still earn Sale-a-bration rewards! The Savings are in Bloom promotion also includes the Mini Cut and Emboss Machine at 20% off. If you’ve seen any of my Facebook Lives you’ll know how handy and compact this machine is! Checkout all the details here
Here’s todays card …

How stunning do those flowers look? To create follow these steps …
- cut out your dies in Basic White, or any colour really,
- press die cut-out into your Versamark Ink Pad, its a good idea to reink your versamark pad if you haven’t in a while just so its nice and juicy
- cover die cut-out with embossing powder of your choice, shake off excess
- heat set with heat tool
You may want to use some tweezers to hold your die cut-outs while heat setting as they can get really hot. I prefer to use reverse tweezers on my projects.

My background piece is a piece of Shimmery White. The text stamp is stamped off 3 times using Smokey Slate and then stamped randomly off the edges. I’ve also stamped the dotty/splatter stamp in Sahara Sand after stamping off 3 times.
I was after an old book page look so using the blending brush around the edges with Sahara Sand gave the effect I was after. I hope you like it.
The sentiment is heat embossed in black and cut out with the Ornate Frames Dies.
I hope sharing the heat embossed Die Cuts has given you a technique to use in your own projects. You can do this technique with any die cut and words look really good using this technique too!

What a great effect with all that embossing. Very nice.
Gorgeous card. Love the colours, the layout and the shapes. I also love the subtle stamping on the background. Heat embossing is so diverse and so awesome.
So pretty! I love the embossed flowers! So nice to see so many great ways to use embossing powder today.
