I just love all the projects and techniques you can do with our wonderful Embossing Folders. While straight embossing gives a wow for the effect of running it through with some cardstock and the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine there’s lots more you can do with them!
I love using my folders in different ways – it gives my projects a little more pizzazz and also gives me value in my purchase … or purchases as they case may be!
There’s just so much you can do with them! I have a few techniques to share with you but I will add them over a few posts. For today’s cards I thought I’d share how to colour your embossed pieces after they’ve been through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. You can choose what medium you’d like to colour with too like our Stampin Blends, Soft Pastels, Water Colour Pencils or whatever you like!
First up we have the Pretty Flowers coloured with the lovely new Soft Pastels …
I love the soft, muted affect this gives. Being that I embossed with Basic White you can use any colours and just use a coordinating or neutral card base.
You can also opt to colour the images with your Stampin Blends …
I love the boldness in this card. It’s nice and bright and makes me feel like Spring is not too far away … well till I walk outside anyways!
You dont even have to colour all the images – you can simply just highlight one if you wish. Little like a Spotlight card.
These cards are great for any Occasion or Theme. Just choose your colours to suit. You can do this with any of the detailed Embossing Folders. I cant wait to see what you create with all your embossing folders so be sure to show me! Experiment and try with your different folders.
