Good Afternoon … feeling a little worse for wear today with flu-like symptoms plus the Fibromyalgia pain – not a good look for a Saturday.
Today I thought I’d share with you a very quick and easy card I demonstrated recently at Kat’s party using the Lotus Blossom Sale-a-bration Stamp set …
Products I Used …
Stamp : Lotus Blossom Photopolymer Stamp Set
Ink : Blackberry Bliss Classic Stampin’ Pad , Old Olive Stampin’ Write Marker
Card Stock : Blackberry Bliss A4 Cardstock , Park Lane Designer Series Paper , Whisper White A4 Card Stock , White Vellum A4 Card Stock
Punch : Tag Topper Scalloped Punch
Ribbon & Trim : Blackberry Bliss 3/8″ Satin Stitched Ribbon , Silver 1/8″ Ribbon
This card is quick and easy and great to whip up a few at a time – you could leave the sentiment off the top and just add it as needed so you’d have the perfect card for any occasion!
Why did I use the vellum over the top of the flower? Stamping in Blackberry Bliss is very stark and sometimes you just want a softer flower and placing the vellum over the top softens the flower.
Why did I stamp the sentiment on the vellum layer? Well you want people to know why you sent the card and really the sentiment should be the main focus of the card. Having it on top this is what they see first and placing it on the same layer as the flower it’s muted too much and lost.
I hope you like today’s card and you find my tips helpful and give you some ideas for your own card making.
