Welcome – hope you are having a relaxing Sunday Afternoon – that’s what Sunday’s were created for afterall!

Have you ever looked through the Stampin’ Up! catalogue and seen a bundle but thought  “I love the framelits but not so sure about the stamp set”?  That’s what I did with the Merry Tags Bundle on page 21 of the Holiday Catalogue.

While there are a couple of stamps I could use in the set I thought of other sets that I could use in it’s place.  Like the ‘snow’ stamp – I could use one of the splatters from Gorgeous Grunge or Touches of Texture for the same effect. So I opted just to get the framelits and I have a sweet card for you this afternoon …

This was one we made yesterday in my Christmas Stamp A Stack.  It’s a fun and easy card with a few elements in it which give it an old world charm.   The ‘snow’ was done using the splatter from Gorgeous Grunge and I used the Soft Falling Embossing folder on the base card for depth and continuation of the snow.  I actually reversed the folder so the embossing goes in instead of up – it give a cool different look.

This card was inspired by a project my friend Ann Craig made and uses the Merry Tags Framelits.  Click here to see Ann’s gorgeous Christmas Sampler.

I painted Clear Wink of Stella over the Trees, Reindeer and top of the ‘snow’ to give it a glimmery bauble look.
