Today I had a wonderful day visiting with friends – Andrea Lowcock and Vanessa Webb.
These ladies have become very good friends since they joined Stampin Up and my Stamp A Latte team. I find it amazing how people I’ve never met before have come into my life via Stampin’ Up! and then we find we have so much in common.
Poor Andrea had a mind meld on the weekend and thought she was a teenager again so played some tennis and in the process pulled her calf muscle – the poor thing. Ness and I tried to wait on her today but she couldnt help herself and got up a couple of times to hobble around. Hopefully soon she’ll be back on ‘both’ feet with a spring in her step as Stampin’ Up! Convention is only a matter of weeks away!
I made this card last night to cheer Andrea up and hopefully take her mind off her sore leg.
I have struggled to use the Pacific Point so I teamed it up with some Baja Breeze and Kiwi Kiss then tried a few colours for the base card and then had the ‘yeah’ moment when I put the Chocolate Chip with the other colours.
I’ve used the Echo of Kindness set again – I just love this set and can see it will be used quite a bit over the next 12 months. Its a Level 2 Hostess set so if you’d like this set to you can earn it by holding a qualifying demonstration or workshop. Its got the three gorgeous flowers and the saying by Mother Teresa. A very versatile set.
I’ve also used some other stamps for the background and to give the layers a little texture.
On the chocolate chip base card I’ve used the swirl from the very lovely Baroque Motifs set – one that should be in every household! The Baja Breeze has the sanded background stamp and the Kiwi Kiss has the lovely weathered background – these are two of my most used and favourite background stamps.
I’ve done the accent on the top right hand corner of the flower piece with the Photo Corner punch (which has the two sizes on the one punch – bargain at just $30.95) with the pacific point and baja breeze.
I hope you guys like this card as much as Andrea and Ness did today – talk about boosting one’s self esteem! Thanks girls!!

Gorgeous yet again Leonie. I am struggling with Pacific Point too, need to sit & have a bit more of a play. Great card & I can see why Andrea & Vanessa loved it 🙂
