I’ve recently had some new girls join my Stamp A Latte Team and I love how excited it makes everyone – even me! It’s just so contagious!!
I often get asked by new demonstrators and customers what are the ‘must haves’ or the ‘essential items’ they should buy first and really I think it depends on the person and what their interests are. All the questions recently got me to thinking recently and so I thought I’d start something new on my blog …
“The Latte Essentials”!
This is how it will work …
- Each month I will select a different product, tool or accessory to highlight
- Each week I will share a project to show a different way to use that product chosen for the month
- If you place an order with me during that month and include the ‘Latte Essential’ product of the month you will receive free shipping on the total order.
- You can choose to join my “Latte Essentials Club” where you agree to place a minimum order per month of just $50 you will receive free shipping and tutorials for all 4 projects for the Essentials Product shared on my blog
- You can choose to join my “Latte Essentials Email Club” where for a small fee you will receive the tutorials via email each month.

So what is this month’s “Essential” product ….
I was so excited when we got the Simply Scored Board and Metric plate in the Autumn/Winter Mini Catalogue and then they announced at Convention that we now could get the Diagonal Scoring Plate I was over the moon – there is just so much more that we can make now and no fiddly lining up of the ruler and praying it doesnt move while we score our lines!
Its so so easy to use and create gorgeous projects adding a whole new dimension to our cards, boxes and even create your own envelopes!
It sits perfectly on top of the Simply Scored board and the silicone rubber pads on the back of the Diagonal Plate means it wont move while your scoring! It also has score lines every 1/8″ (or 3.2mm for us metric minded people!) so no matter what size your project you’ll have the right score line! It also comes with an information sheet with sizes and where to score for the most popular envelope sizes!
Here’s a card I made using the Diagonal Plate and my first “Essentials” project …
Now how nice did this turn out and how elegant 🙂 The upper section reminds me of those Satin quilted pillows or cushions! The paper from the Mocha Morning Specialty Designer Series Paper just makes it that much more special with the flocked paper and add some Satin ribbon and well – delish-a-mon!
What good is a card without an envelope???
I simply grabbed another piece of the Designer Paper from the Mocha Morning Specialty pack to make my envelope and with the instructions included with the Diagonal Plate it was done in no time at all!
I had so much fun making that envelope I had to make more ….
You can make envelopes of all shapes and sizes and out of cardstock, paper or patterned paper – the choice is yours! Above there is an envelope that will fit a 6×6 page or card, C6 for a regular card like the one above. I’ve also done a long envelope and one also for a 4×4 or 3×3 card!
Here is one envelope I just had to take a close up of …
How nice did this one turn out using the Attic Boutique Designer Paper??
Now look at the back ….
Seriously … I couldnt have worked this one out better with the placement of the images if I tried!
