Good Afternoon and welcome to another Freshly Brewed Projects Blog Hop with my crafty friends. Today the theme is Gift Bags or Boxes and I have my Heartwarming Matchbox for you!
I love giving gifts at Christmas. Well, actually, I just love giving gifts! I also love to package my gifts in different ways and they are usually handmade.
I wanted to share with you something different than just a gift bag or box today. So I went looking through my old posts and found a little matchbox I’d made using the Envelope Punchboard. As we dont have those any more I thought ‘why not design your own Leonie?’ … ‘cant be that hard surely’
Here’s what I came up with …
I had so much fun creating this little box!
I wanted to make sure one could fit a gift card inside so that was my guide for the sizing. The Suite I wanted to use was Heartwarming Hugs so that was my guide for the colours I used.
My Matchbox tray and sleeve both are done in Mossy meadow. Then I used a couple of the designs from the Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper pack as backgrounds (tray insert and top of sleeve).
The top embellishment is just layers of dies and die cut stamped images. All the images are from the Warm Hugs Stamp Set. This set is so fun to create with – I just love all those two step images!
The tray is easy to pop out and sits nicely inside the sleeve. It’s snug enough to not fall out yet not to tight to open.
I will have a tutorial for you! I just ran out of time to get it included in this post before it went live.
How cute would it be to make a little gingerbread man to pop inside this box as a Christmas Treat?
Now let’s go hopping …
Now it’s time to see what my crafty friends have created for you today with the Bags &/or Boxes theme …
