Happy Hello!

Well I thought I’d share this card I made as a sample for an upcoming Stamp-A-Stack. My customer asked for cards using Longtime Friend and Stem Silhouettes from the Spring Mini Catalogue so today you get the one from Longtime Friend.

Longtime Hello

I just love Longtime Friend set as it just screams colouring and I love to colour with my Water Color Wonder crayons – they are so easy to use and give a great result everytime – especially with an aqua painter and now that they come in the family sets they are more affordable. If you would like to see the water color wonder crayons in action ring me and we can book in a workshop for you and your friends.

I had the basic idea of what I wanted to do for the card – being its for a stamp-a-stack it needed to be kept simple yet effective when finished. I tried different ideas and techniques for the pink layer and then it dawned on me to use a plain piece of pretty in pink cardstock but run it through the crimper!

crimped hello

This one shows the crimping better and just gives a little more elegance to the card – as does the black layering – adding black to any colour gives a card a little more elegance and makes the other colours ‘pop’

Recipe
Cardstock: Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery, Basic Black and Whisper White
Ink: Jet Black Stazon
Stamp Sets: Longtime Friend, Lots of thoughts
Accessories: Water Color Wonder Crayons, Crimper, Celery Grosgrain ribbon, Tag Punch, double rectangle punch, stampin dimensionals and aqua painter.
I sure hope the ladies like this card as much as I liked making it!

  1. this is lovely Leonie, simple but striking. I love colouring which is probably why I keep using my ‘little people’ stamps. They are made by a swedish company, Magnolia stamps. You can find the link on my blog if interested (but be warned, their customer service is not good LOL) or email me your address – I’ll stamp you some to play with 🙂
