Golden Afternoon

Good [Golden] Afternoon! It’s a very lovely sunny Autumn day here today! Makes you want to sit outside and soak up the Vitamin D! Today I have a sweet card for you using the lovely Golden Afternoon Stamp Set from the Occasions Catalogue.

Golden Afternoon

This is such a lovely Stamp Set and as soon as I saw it I knew I had to have it! It’s got two trees in it – what else needs to be said? It also helps it has some really lovely sentiments in it as well!

I do love a good tree stamp set and I’m a little sad that this one isn’t carrying over into the new Annual Catalogue.

Today’s card is one I made a while back but never shared here and we’ll also be making it in today’s Stamp A Stack

My card base is Soft Sea Foam. I created a little frame in Gray Granite using the awesome Rectangle Stitched Framelits.

I stamped the smaller tree and sentiment onto Very Vanilla in Memento Tuxedo Black. I then coloured the Tree with Stampin’ Blends . I also used Light Pool Party Stampin Blend to outline the leaves and then blended the edges out with the Colour Lifter.

Once done I’ve cut the vanilla piece with the next smaller sized Rectangle Stitched Framelit so it fit snuggly into the frame I cut. It makes it look like a framed picture!

I stamped the birds in flight in Soft Sea Foam on the card base so it looks like they are in the distance. The larger tree was also stamped in Soft Sea Foam so it peaks out from behind the frame. Stamping behind your focal piece in a lighter colour gives the card depth and dimension.

If you’d like the Golden Afternoon Stamp Set it is available until 3rd June or while stocks last. It is still available at the moment (as I type) but this could change at any time!

Thanks for stopping by and see you latte ..
