Well its another chilly Sydney winter day here with the temperature just 7.5C (45.5F) so I hope its a little warmer where you are! No doubt my new little gas heater will be keeping me warm today!

As you may have noticed my blog looks a little different this morning and I hope you like the changes. I have been told that a change is as good as a holiday however I think I might like to try the holiday just once! I still have a little ‘tweaking’ to do so hopefully it wont take too long before I’m happy with it.

I know I havent posted in over a week and I apologise for that. I’ve had some health issues and been busy with classes and workshops and these two things have impacted on my time for creating and blogging. If anyone out there has some good time management tips then please feel free to share them with me!

Here is a card I cased from Splitcoast Stampers last week.

I do love how this card turned out and it really is very elegant and very easy to do. Its done using the Friends 24-7 Stamp set and the Friendly Words wheel and really could be given for any occasion at all. There is some sponging involved in this card and really it wouldnt be a card from me if it didnt involve some sponging or daubering somewhere!

Stamps: Friends 24-7, Friendly Words Stampin round wheel
Paper: Bravo Burgundy, Brocade Blue, Very Vanilla
Inks: Bravo Burgundy
Accessories: Brocade Blue Stampin Write Marker, Pretties Kit (half pearl), Very Vanilla Taffeta Ribbon, Eyelet Border punch, mini glue dots, stampin sponges.BrocadeBurgundyLaceWbird

Here is another of the same card. This time I have included the bird stamp from Friends 24-7 which has been stamped and cut out and layered using dimensionals.

This is actually what the original cased card had however I find that leaving the bird off makes this card just as elegant and sometimes ‘less’ is ‘more’.

I do hope you like this card and would love to show you just how easy it is to make so why not email or ring me today to book your demonstration in? We still have the extra bonuses for Hostesses to the end of July so there’s still time to take advantage of this wonderful promotion from Stampin’ Up!®

  1. I’m in love with the Friends 24-7 stamp set but unfortunately haven’t had much of a chance to play with it. I love what you have done and your colour combo. Have just started checking on some of my fav blogs and I like what you have done to yours. I hope you’re well on your way to good health. Happy stamping. Kylie.

  2. I like the new look – great work. I also like this card even if you did case it – great creativity. Time management skills – give up eating, shopping and sleeping – um maybe not but I know where you’re coming from.

  3. Very nice, Leonie! I remember those temps about 6 months ago … might like to trade with you for a day or so, now! It’s 82°F here today … not too bad, really, but when it gets into the 90s … yuck!

  4. Leonie — I can’t believe it is so cool in Sydney! When I come in August, I am going to have to bring two sets of clothing, one for Sydney and one for Cairns! What would one wear in August in Sydney?

Your new page looks super! Nice work!

  5. Drum roll please……I’ve caught up! With your postings anyway, as for everything else, well…”I don’t think so Tim!” I like the card without the bird too – very nice card.

  6. This is beautiful. I agree taking the bird off does not take away from the beauty in one bit. And as far as time management, don’t look over here, lol. I fell behind a few months ago and just can not get caught back up! Crazy!

    1. Oh Mary Jo I hear you! I did get behind (as you know) a month or so ago, then I got caught up and now I’m behind again … I wonder if there is hope for us? lol maybe I should be a bear and hibernate for the winter just so I can catch up!

  7. Leonie, love this card. I am really starting to think I NEED this set. LOL 🙂 Thanks for sharing it & I do hope you can stay warm enough to feel well enough to stamp 😀

  8. Hey Leonie,

Looks great love the changes you have made! Love today’s card. The colours are so nice together!!

Hope you stay warm and start to feel better soon.
