Freshly Framed

Good Afternoon and welcome to another Freshly Brewed Projects Blog Hop. This week we are using a ‘Framed’ theme.

Framed!

We can use frames in so many ways in our crafting projects. You can create something to put in a frame or you can pop a frame on a card to highlight an image or sentiment or just as an extra element to your project.

Here’s my project for today …

I’ve used the products from the gorgeous Boho Indigo Product Medley. This is such a sweet medley of products. The blue tones with vanilla remind me of the Delft Blue from The Netherlands – a bit of heritage for me.

To create my frame element I used the Stitched Rectangles Dies. I love that die set – it’s one of my most used dies!

I had the design in my head (scary thought eh?) so it was good to get it onto paper! Once I’d laid my elements together the jar of flowers was getting lost in the background pattern so I looked for another pattern. Couldnt find one I liked so chose to mute the background by using a piece of vellum. It sure made those flowers pop!

I love that dies are included in this Product Medley as all those elements on my card are die-cut! No fussy cutting required! The sentiment is stamped onto one of the included labels.

To finish off my card I used a simple bow using the Linen Thread from the Flowers for Every Season Ribbon combo pack and some coloured rhinestones from the Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels pack.

Now let’s go hopping …

Let’s see what other frames my crafty friends have made to share with you today …

I hope you enjoyed those projects as much as I did! Which was your favourite??

I love the Boho Medley. What a great way to use the products. I love the way you used the vellum to give the DSP a much more subtle effect.

    1. thanks so much Jeanne … that vellum is so overlooked … it’s perfect for toning things down! Such an awesome medley of products isnt it?
