Freshly Brewed Projects with Santa

Good Afternoon!

Welcome to another Freshly Brewed Projects Blog Hop from the Latte Girls

frshlybrewedproject

This week we are making projects featuring Santa!   I love that we have so many options with Santa this year – Cookie Cutter Christmas, Father Christmas, Jolly Friends and the Detailed Santa Thinlits.

I’ve used the Detailed Santa Thinlits for my card ..

This card came together so very quickly mind you that was after much deliberation on which Stamp Set to use!

I wanted the Santa cut out to be the focus so cut it out using Dazzling Details Glimmer Paper and was originally going to put the Red Glimmer paper behind it but it stands out so much more on the Red Foil sheet.   The stars are from the Thinlit set too – such a handy little pack.

Now when you are using Glimmer paper with Thinlits or Framelits if you turn the Glimmer paper upsidedown (so the glimmer is facing downwards) and place your die on top you will get a cleaner, sharper cut.  Now keeping this in mind this wont work with words.

My sentiment comes from the Holly Berry Happiness Stamp Set and was perfect for my card along with the Red Stitched Satin ribbon.

I hope you like the card and would love to show you just how easy if you’d like to have it as one of the projects at your party.

Now it’s time to head off and see what Libby and Narelle have created for today’s BlogHop.

Thanks for stopping by …

Beautiful card Leonie. I love your tip about cutting the glimmer paper. I learnt the hard way that it doesn’t work with words or numbers after I cut out all the glimmer elements for a bunch of invitations….lol….
