Good Evening!
Sorry to be running late with this post today – we had NBN switched on here today however we still had the adsl modem connected so was without internet since mid morning. Makes it very hard when most of what you do is online based!
We are up and running at lightening speeds so we are good to roll!
So on with the Freshly Brewed Projects …
This week I gave the girls the task of Project Life – well I did suggest a Stars Wars Card for Star Wars day however they werent too keen – not sure why?
I’ve done some other Project Life posts before and wanted to do something a little different to those.
Here’s the layout I did today – actually it was in record time for me for a 12×12 layout as it was done in 90 minutes!
I simply went through the Memories in the Making Card Kit and chose some cards that went together – love those pastels! Once I’d worked out the colour of the cards I then chose the colour for my 12×12 background and went with Pink Pirouette and stamped it up with some Gorgeous Grunge and Timeless Textures.
I added a Doily, some ribbon and lace for a feminine touch and what’s a project of mine without some Linen Thread or a bow?
The accessory kit comes in handy to add those cute little touches to your layout. Here I’ve added some sticky diecuts to the heart on the card and used one of the little banners to record the year.
I had a team meeting on the weekend and a couple said they just couldnt get into Project Life – they preferred the traditional Scrapbooking – which is fine. We still sell the 12×12 albums and page protectors so there’s no reason you cant keep doing Traditional Scrapbooking – you could even have a mix of both in your album if you wanted to. As always I’ll have the list of products used at the end of my post.
Thanks for stopping by and be sure to pop over to see what Libby and Narelle have done.
You may like to pop back around 11pm for some more exciting news from me …. see you latte ..
Oh I love this and for someone who says she can’t scrapbook 12×12 you’ve done a superb job. I love how you’ve used the Project Life cards and accessories as well as some stamping. Wonderful
I saw a layout on Pinterest and said to myself “I can do that” so I did … trying to get a better pic
