If you are anything like me you struggle with those ‘blokey’ type cards and was recently asked for one at a Stamp A Stack. I had the Well Worn Designer Series paper and decided to do something using that and this is what I came up with ….
I love the rich colours in these cards and all I did was take the colours used in the Well Worn Designer Series Paper pack. In this card I also showed the ladies how to created that background panel using the awesome new Simply Scored tool – it works a treat. The paper has been distressed by running it through the Big Shot with the Square Lattice Textured Impressions folder. The branches of leaves just give it a lift and they’ve been done using the Little Leaves Sizzlet die – I did snip one of the lower branches off so it doesnt look too over crowded and just popped one of the snipped off pieces on the top right corner of the card on the right. The sayings on the two at the front are from the wonderful Wordplay Stamp Set and the Sentiment on the one at the back is from Happiest Birthday Wishes (Hostess Set)
Now as you know I recently attended the Stampin’ Up! Convention in Canberra at the beginning of the month and this was one of the cards that I made for swaps and it was hugely popular.
This is the other swap I made which you might remember from this post …
This one was super quick and easy and I think I made 20 in about 2 hours! I mixed it up a little and changed the sentiment and they went like hot cakes!
Over the next two months I am running a ‘For the Fella’s’ Stamp A Stack and they will be held on 21st July and the 25th August at 2pm – if you cant make it on a Saturday and would rather come during the week then please contact me to arrange an alternative day.
