Good Afternoon!! Welcome to another Freshly Brewed Projects Blog Hop. This week we are playing with the 3D Stamping Technique

Floating & Fluttering
Today my card is a little bit of a technique idea and also a little Sneak Peek! The new Floating & Fluttering Stamp Set is a new set coming in the January to June Mini Catalogue. If you havent already registered for the new Catalogues starting in January click here because you aren’t going to want to miss out on all the stampy goodness coming!

I cant wait to use this set more! With all the layers it has for the butterflies! Or one could just choose to colour the block image (bottom left corner) with blends or water color pencils.
3D Stamping Technique
The 3D Stamping Technique is a great way to give your cards some depth and dimension without too much fuss. It’s simply stamping the same stamp in two tones and offset a little.
I’ve made two of the same card today to show you the difference this technique gives.

This first card is done with the butterfly block stamped just in Soft Sea Foam. I love to use stamps as a background or to create a patterned panel like this. It’s quick and it’s easy and gives you more uses for your lovely stamps.

This second card uses the 3D Stamping Technique. To create this technique you stamp your image in a colour ink – I’ve just used the Soft Sea Foam as I did in the first card.
To create the 3D look you ink up the same stamp in Whisper White Pigment Ink then stamp over the top of the first stamp. Offset it a little to give it a shadow and 3D or embossed look. Remember to clean your stamp before changing colours.
This technique works a treat if your stamps are photopolymer. It’s much easier if you can see through the stamp for placement. If your eyes aren’t quite as sharp as they used to be, or you wish to do this technique with one of our cling stamps, you may wish to use the Stamparatus for perfect placement.
Let’s go Hopping …
Now let’s see what my crafty friends have created for you today …
