Father’s Day

I wont lie .. making cards for Father’s Day this week has been very hard. It’s been rather emotional. I will really miss not being able to send a card to Dad this year. However, we still need to celebrate my Husband on Father’s Day.

For today’s card I chose to use the Beautiful World Bundle and here’s what I made …

This is an old but good technique. You create an ’embossed’ look by diecutting several of the same image and glue onto the same coloured cardstock. I’ve used Seaside Spray Cardstock. I cut out 10 globes and then glued them down.

It probably took a little longer than it should have as I was chatting with my sister via Messenger at the time. Do you like this effect?

Here’s the Beautiful World Bundle

I love this bundle and all the elements in the die set! Mind you, I still think that globe stand looks like an ice cream bowl!

Using our lovely Foil cardstock I cut another globe in the and attached that to a vellum circle to give a muted look. The sentiment and feathers are from the Beautiful World Stamp Set.

I sure hope hubby likes his card!

Let’s go hopping …

I do hope you enjoyed today’s blog hop and all the wonderfully masculine ideas for Father’s Day!
