So for today’s Blog Hop I’ve decided to create using the lovely new Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper.
This pack is awesome and there’s lots of designs and prints to use for all your Christmas projects and uses the colours Real Red, Early Espresso, Crumb Cake and Whisper White.
Here’s a couple of Note Cards I made …
They are sweet arent they?
This first one uses the ‘sweets’ paper and I’ve cut a couple of the candies, candy canes and a gingerbread man out to use as embellishments .
This one I’ve used the same patterned paper with the gingerbread man again and a couple of sweets. The sentiment from the Cookie Cutter Christmas set works perfectly.
I’ve cut my sentiment into a rectangle and used my Layering Squares thinlit dies to create the scalloped mat.
I did notice as I was putting these two layers together that the scalloped rectangle looked an awful lot like one of the old Chocolate Cream biscuits from Arnotts!
Here’s another card made using the ‘house’ paper from the pack …
I had fun making this card – I’ve used the Gently Falling Embossing Folder on my Whisper White layer and also on my Crumb Cake card base just to give the card a little more depth.
The houses are cut from the patterned paper which is quite easy to do with our Paper Snips. I did snip the chimney off the house on the right and pop it on the other side of the roof to balance the card. I’ve also added some clear Wink of Stella to the roof tops to make the snow all glimmery!
My sentiment comes from the very gorgeous Star of Light Stamp set and the Real Red Enamel heart embellishments work perfectly.
