Good Afternoon! As I watch the sunset out my craft room window I thought I’d share my Embossed Waves card with you.
Embossed Waves
I loved making my Embossed Waves card. It uses the Waves of Inspiration Bundle. This is such a cool bundle to create with. If you often take holidays at the beach or near the water you might want to grab this bundle for putting those memories onto a memory layout.
The stamp set has some wonderful sentiments and the Waves Dies compliment the stamps so well. There are two wave dies that you can layer over each other for an awesome affect. Plus there are cloud dies with an extra cloud detail to add definition and texture to your work.
I especially love the two label dies. I have used one a little differently on my card.
Normally I’d stamp the sentiment I was to use and then cut it out with the label die. For this card I cut the label out and slid some ribbons through and tied it to secure it on my card. I then stamped the sentiment in two different colours and then cut them up so I could a bit of both. I adhered them to the label … sorta like a signpost.
My waves were stamped in versamark then heat embossed with white powder. The Pacific Point and Balmy Blue inks then got a workout with the Blending Brushes. I purposely sponged ink above the embossed waves to give a seaspray affect. What are waves without the Seagulls?
I finished off my card by adding some of the Waves Rhinestones that were available in April. I do hope you managed to grab a pack of those as they were stunning!
