Elegant Dazzle

Just 6 more sleeps till we go to visit my parents and my sister in Victoria – I am soooo looking forward to this holiday and cant wait to spend some quality time with my little sister before the rest of the family arrives there.

I wasnt going to get the Razzle Dazzle set and had resisted temptation for a while but then I went to Regionals and saw so many nice things with it I had to have it!

SoElegantDazzleThis is a card I made last week and I just love how it turned out. I am loving So Saffron for a yellow colour lately as its rich but its not bright and goes with so many other colours.

I am not sure if you can see the detail in the panels but I first stamped the Razzle Dazzle image onto Very Vanilla in So Saffron but stamped off first so it wasnt so dark.  I just stamped randomly to give a soft muted background. I then lightly sponged between the images to give that ‘patterned paper’ look.

I then stamped in Elegant Eggplant – again stamping off first so it wasnt too dark.  I then cut my piece into three to make the panels and then sponged arond the edges in Creamy Caramel for the aged look.  Then from the piece I had left over I stamped the greeting from the Oval All stamp set and punched it out and layered that onto a scalloped oval – isnt it great we can still get this punch even though its not in the Summer Mini Catalogue?

The base card is Elegant Eggplant and then I’ve layered a piece of So Saffron on which I’ve stamped the flower image in versamark and finished the card off with the lovely Elegant Eggplant Grosgrain ribbon.

I do hope you like this card as much as I do and I’d better be off and get some things done so I have all I need to do done before Sunday is here!
