Eastern Elegance Gift Box

Today I wanted to share with you a little project I made recently.  One of my friends asked me to make up a gift for her friend – actually this is the second one I’ve made for her.  She tells me what her friends like and what she’d like included and of course how much she’d like to spend and then I get to work.

This gift was made for  a friend who likes to make cards and she wanted a gift pack of ‘things to go on the front of cards’ so I went to work.   I grabbed one of our Wood Mount Storage cases and inserted a piece of the gorgeous paper from Eastern Elegance Designer Series Paper Pack.

The tag from Chalk Talk is absolutely perfect for gifts and I just coordinated it with the colours of the Designer Series Paper I used.

Then I went to select some of our gorgeous embellishments. I selected clips, buttons, various ribbons tied with slivers of crumb cake cardstock, frosted embellishments, candy dot bases, lace tape, bakers twine, candy dots and doillies.

I grabbed some empty button/brad containers and popped a scalloped circle on top with a label for its contents.  I’ve also made a little pocket and stuck it inside the box to house the Candy Dots and Doillies.

I tied the Seam binding around the box and finished with a pretty bow then hooked the tag on – perfect.

The recipient was over the moon … and its a customised gift so its not like others would have given her the same.
