I have admired these cards since I saw the first one on SplitCoast Stampers and I followed the tutorial by the very talented Beate Johns!
This was the first one I made and I do like how it turned out – if I do say so myself!
There was talk on one of my yahoogroups I’m on about making cards and then not wanting to part with them and I must say this one falls into that category!
I just love the colours in the Enchante Designer Series Paper pack which is available from our Summer Mini – but only until 31st March. I have also used a couple of other products from the summer mini being Very Vanilla wide grosgrain ribbon, French Flair Background and Carte Postale.
The birthday sentiments are from the “It’s your Birthday” stamp set. I have also popped a glue dot into the centre of the flower and then pressed that into the Dazzling Diamonds to give it a bit of bling.
This one was made for my friend Karen who has her 40th birthday on Saturday and I as said before I am having trouble parting with it and I know Karen’s favourite colours are reds and burgundy so I made another!
This time using the Recollections papers form the Idea Book and Catalogue.
I did use the French Flair background again – love the swirls on this stamp! I again used the Carte Postale set again for the flowers and leaves embellishments. Also, had to add some dazzling diamonds for the bling – I do hope she will like her card.
These cards are very easy to make to so if your interested in learning how contact me to arrange a workshop or class.
I love your cards Leonie! Thanks for the inspiration. PLUS… You’ve been tagged – see my blog for details… lol http://stampinground.wordpress.com/ (It’s Yvonne’s fault, she started it)

I’ve always been meaning to do when of these too and your stunning creations has just made me want to more 🙂 Adore the colours, not surprised you don’t want to part with them.
Know what you mean though, I get like that too, crazy isn’t it?! I just take photos of them all now and try and tell myself, ‘I can always make another’ to make me part with them LOL
Those are such pretty cards!!!! Kim sbs8

I agree – I’ve always admired these kind of cards, too, but never made one. Yours are addorable!
Very pretty, I don’t blame you for not wanting to give them away. I really must try doing another crisscross.
Gorgeous cards, love the papers you used!!
These look great Leonie.
Gorgeous Leonie was wondering when you were going to update next.
BTW you are about to be tagged.
I love making crisscross cards, Beate’s tutorial is great. Always make more than one, then you can keep one for yourself. Love the frech flair used on the insert card.

Fantastic cards, I must have a go at that style card. Know what you mean about parting with your creations, sometimes I find it very hard too.
Lovely cards; great job & these color combinations are just gorgeous!!!
