Well its a rare Saturday here today with no parties, workshops or classes on so I’m taking it a little easy today and after the past 2 weeks I’ve had I think I need it! I think we all need some ‘down time’ to relax and regroup and let our bodies catch up with everything and now is the perfect time with Christmas around the corner and then Sale-a-Bration I might not get another chance until April 2013!!
Last week Leonie Newman, a sweet friend and one of my lovely downlines, shared a card she’d made and I knew I just had to find out how to make that bow for myself and share it with my customers as I knew they’d love it … and I was right!
How nice is that bow and all you need is some strips of Designer Series Paper and a oval punch and a square punch … easy as 🙂 For the centre of the bow I’ve simply used one of the new gorgeous faceted buttons and popped a rhinestone jewel in the centre. The layer with the petals a plenty has also been spritzed using my mix of Shimmer Paint and Isocol (rubbing alcohol) which can be bought at the Chemist or Supermarket.
I am really loving tone on tone at the moment – especially with Vanilla and White = 0)
For those wanting a little more colour here is the same card with a Cherry Cobbler base …
For the centre of the bow on this card I’ve simply used a Rhinestone Brad and I still love these cards each time I make them and look at them!
The girls who came along to my team meeting last week loved them too!
If you’d like to know to make these gorgeous cards I’d love to come and show you and your friends at your Stampin’ Up! Party … dont forget we have an ‘Ink-redible’ Hostess offer at the moment and you could earn a full family set of 10 Classic Ink Pads for free just like Marina did last night!
