Christmas Boxes

I know everyone has been busy the past week or so in preparation for Christmas – well I know I have! In addition to all the mad rushing around I do before christmas as it usually has a tendancy to sneak up on me when I least expect it! I also created a 55th Wedding Anniversary Scrapbook for my parents who live interstate.

This album was very timely as Mum recently had an emergency visit to their local hospital as she had an infection on her leg spread to her heart – she is home now (thank’s Lord) and behaving herself to get over this infection – well she better!!

a2boxsetFrom all accounts they loved the album and over the school holidays I will share some of the layouts with you but today I want to share these boxes I made for the girls aunts (or my sister’s in law – depends on how you look at it!)

I had a folder full of sample cards from this years classes and challenges and I know others use their samples for gifts and such so I thought I would too.

Now these ladies dont stamp (sad but true!) so I thought a box of cards for all occasions would save them a bit during the year and I needed something to present them in and found these A2 boxes on Splitcoast Stampers.

So again I’m thinking this is a good way to also use up some retired Designer Series Paper that I still had and who didnt love the Enchanté pack??  I have made the bottom of the box in coordinating cardstock and used the DSP for the tops and just used the coordinating colours and off-cuts for the tags.

cards4a2boxI selected 8 cards for each box which was a good number as I could still fit in some chocolates on the top. Funny thing though … I forgot to put the dove caramel chocolates in so I’ll just have to suffer and eat them myself! This will be before I return to Weight Watcher’s though!

Here is a display of a selection of the cards I included in the boxes.

Some of you may recognise the cards from various Stamp A Stacks during the year.

So this gives you an idea of what you can do with those cards you havent used yet. Make a box and give them as a gift. If you would like to attend a class on how to make these boxes then let me know and I’ll make a date for a class.  They are very quick and easy and they turn out so lovely using Stampin’ Up!’s wonderful Designer Series Papers.

Dont forget that we have new Designer Series papers in the Summer Mini Catalogue and its Sale-A-Bration during January and February so for every $100 you spend you get a free stamp set from the Sale-A-Bration catalogue. Now if you dont have a Sale-a-Bration catalogue contact me today and I’ll pop one in the post for you.
