Chevron Quilt

Good Afternoon! Thank you for joining us for another Freshly Brewed Project Blog Hop. This week our team is creating with the Chevron Quilt Background Technique.

Freshly Brewed Projects Blog Hop with Leonie Schroder Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Australia

Chevron Quilt Background

This is such a cool technique to try with your patterned papers! I first saw this technique shared by my sweet friend Lyssa Zwolanek and knew I had to try it!

For my card today I’ve used the papers from the gorgeous Gilded Autumn Specialty Designer Series Paper pack.

Here’s my first card …

I love the little images on this paper plus the speckled sheet … perfect for today’s Chevron Quilt Background Technique. Now this is the ONLY type of quilting you’ll see me do … other than napping under one!

Now I do have a tutorial coming in this week’s newsletter so make sure you’ve signed up for those!

You will see that you need to lots of strips for the panels so I figured why not make two cards. Here’s the second card in a landscape layout …

The two sentiments I’ve used today both come from the Country Home Stamp Set and I’ve embellished both cards with the gorgeous Faux Suede Trim. You can see a complete list of products used at the end of this post.

Here’s a quick look at the Gilded Autumn Designer Series Paper pack

It’s got some gorgeous foliage designs and some include bronze and gold foil. It’s simply stunning!

Let’s go hopping …

Now it’s time to see what my crafty friends have made for you today using the Chevron Quilt Background Technique ..

I do hope you have enjoyed today’s Blog Hop as much as I have! Some great cards there!
