Welcome to another Freshly Brewed Projects Blog Hop! This week we are Casing the Catalogue.

Casing the Catalogue
I am back! I thought no better time to get back into blogging than with one of the Freshly Brewed Projects Blog Hops and this week we are Casing the Catalogue so I didnt have to think too much – just choose what I wanted to case. It was extra handy that I’d already cased these two cards back for my Annual Catalogue Launch.

These cards both use the love Tasteful Touches Stamp Set and you can find it from page 122 in the Annual Catalogue.
The Tasteful Touches Stamp Set is a great one to have as you can do so many different themed cards. You can just say hello or make them more specific to male or females.

You can make great male/masculine cards by using the texture images and the awesome In Good Taste Designer Series Paper. I’ve stamped the squares direct onto the Designer Series Paper then heat embossed with white embossing powder. Adding the wooden discs from the In Good Taste Elements gives the card more depth and texture.

I love this floral card! As you can see I changed it … just a little. I added some blue by embossing the Balmy Blue panel and stamped my flowers in Night of Navy and lightly coloured them with the Stampin’ Blends. I’ve also replaced the wooden leaves (as shown in the catalogue) to some vellum leaves. I have finished my card off with the Navy & White twine from the Flowers for Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack and embellished with some of the In Color Enamel Dots of the Misty Moonlight variety.
I find when I’m struggling to make a card (like I have been lately) a great way to get through a mojo slump is to case a card. Whether it be in a catalogue or from Pinterest or a Blog. Just be sure if you are casing from another crafter you ask permission – not everyone is happy to have their stuff copied or cased. The term ‘case’ is simply “Copy and Share Everything”.
Now let’s go hopping …
Now it’s time to see what my Stamping Friends have brewed up for you this week …
