Hi and welcome to Friday!
Congrats for making through another week.
I mentioned Monday that I’d spent the weekend in Canberra visiting friends. The actual reason I was down there was that I’d been invited to talk at another Demonstrator’s Team Meeting. It was a huge honour and I do believe that my first reply when she asked was ‘are you sure you messaged the right person?’ lol. Apparently she did and I had a ball – after the nerves wore off! Not only is Debbie a fellow demonstrator but she’s a long time close friend as well – one of those blessings I talk about from being a Demonstrator.
At our team meetings we have make & takes for our teams to do and take home to share with their customers, friends and family. Here’s the make & take from Debbie’s meeting …
How lovely is this card? I dont have this folder yet so I may need to put it on my next order – it’s so detailed and with a gorgeous cable knit pattern it looks like it’s been knitted. It also uses the Paisley & Posies Designer Series Paper and the new Paisley Thinlits from the Holiday Catalogue.
Now when using that new Cable Knit Dynamic Embossing folder you’ll need to do it differently to the regular embossing folders due to it’s depth. The layers you need are New Big shot platform, folder with cardstock inside then cutting mat. It also helps if you lightly spritz the cardstock with water before running it through as this softens the fibres in the cardstock and will prevent cracking or tearing.
I love all the elements – the sponging, the texture of the embossing folder, the little paisley leaf with pearls and the copper embossed greeting. I also loved that it was all cut out for me as I’m usually the one that does all the cutting!
A huge thank you to Debbie for inviting me and I think I went ok as many of them asked if I’d come back for more Social Media Training! I really need to get Debbie a blog!
I love today’s card and I hope you do too!
Thanks for stopping by ..
