Good Afternoon and Welcome to this week’s edition of Freshly Brewed Projects. I’ve created this Brighter Days card using the Cloud Punch and the Sunshine & Rainbows Sale-a-bration Paper Pack.
If they world needs anything right now it’s some Brighter Days. So much of the news is filled with the pandemic, war and death that we need some uplifting.
Today I chose to use the cloud punch in my project. I don’t know how many times I looked through the mini catalogue and didn’t see it!
Now you might be thinking ‘but it’s just a cloud punch – not very versatile‘. Well I’m here to give you a few ideas to use it for …
- Clouds (duh)
- Ice cream scoops
- Froth on top of coffee
- word bubbles
- tree canopies
Here’s my Brighter Days card …
I’ve also pulled out the gorgeous Sunshine & Rainbows Sale-a-bration Paper Pack. Remember, you can still get this free with a qualifying order up until 16th March.
I love the fun and bright designs in this pack. It will come in handy for all sorts of projects. See the design with the clouds?
Well the cloud punch fits it perfectly! Those clouds you that are not full or are off the edge of the paper can be used too! Simply slip them behind a layer or another full cloud – no need to throw them away!
I wanted to make something a little special so decided on a tri-fold card. To create my diagonal on the front I decided on the positioning at top and bottom then measured those places with a ruler with get the precise measurements.
So my cardbase is 14cm x 29.7cm. Score at 9.9cm from each end – this will give you three even panels. Burnish and Fold to create the tri-fold. The top measurement is 4cm and the base measurement is 1cm.
Using the cloud punch I punched out a sheet of the clouds from the Sunshine & Rainbows Paper Pack and some extra white and vellums clouds. They were just layered with some on the front and a couple in the middle …
Then a few more in the middle with a sweet sentiment from the Rainbow of Happiness Stamp Set …
To finish off my card I added a Gold Twine Bow and some Silver & Clear Epoxy Essentials. I love that this pack three different shapes – round, diamond and raindrop! Perfect for my card
I hope you like what I’ve created today.
Now lets go hopping …
